Diakonos Solutions offers unique ecumenical scholarships to support women in ministry pursuing their Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degrees. Over the past three years, we've awarded 12 scholarships, totaling $6,000, directly impacting the recipients, their churches, and their communities. Through this program, we affirm the hard work and dedication of women in ministry, fostering a more inclusive and equitable future for theological education.
Money for school often comes from their family budget, not the church budget.
Male pastors are typically given time to pursue doctorates, while women must balance personal and professional responsibilities.
Women are afforded less latitude in prioritization of their goals. They can only pursue their doctorates once all other responsibilities are completed—a time that seems perpetually out of reach.
Our scholarships help alleviate these burdens, providing crucial support for their Doctor of Ministry (DMin) studies. This program is especially impactful for BIPOC women, empowering them to bring transformative change to their churches and communities.
Please consider donating! Your support will enable us to provide scholarships and host events for women in ministry.
