Anyone in ministry, specifically women retiring from ministry or women who find they are finished with a particular stole, may donate their clean and gently used stoles to Stories Behind the Stole with a note of encouragement to be included with the stole as it finds a new home with a newly ordained woman in ministry. 

Our hope is to preserve the special stories and memories behind our stoles while offering encouragement to colleague women in ministry. 

TO PARTICIPATE

If you have a stole to donate - 

Send your cleaned stole to Diakonos Solutions with a note of encouragement, a story or memory that took place in the stole. Your stole and note will be passed along to a newly ordained woman in ministry.

If you are a newly ordained woman in ministry -  

Blessings and many congratulations! We define "newly ordained" as ordained five years or less. Let's face it, it takes awhile to build up a stole collection that covers all of the liturgical seasons. 

If you are in need of a stole for a specific liturgical season, or if you simply want to participate in Stories Behind the Stole, fill out the form here.

We ask that participants:

-have been ordained no more than five years

-submit a request for a stole no more than once per year

-share about the stole you receive on social media to get the word out there!
